Why I Teach and What You'll Learn

My goal as a teacher is simple: to help you feel the same joy and satisfaction I experience every time I learn or share a new technique. Whether you’re just beginning or pushing your skills further, I’m here to guide you toward woodturning with confidence, creativity, and control. In my classes, you will learn the push cut style of woodturning - an efficient and precise technique that delivers clean, tear-free surfaces on both bowls and spindles. This method uses minimal physical effort and allows for smooth, repeatable cuts, no matter the shape. You’ll also gain hands-on experience in freehand platform sharpening, a skill that produces incredibly sharp edges quickly and consistently.
